‘Hollywood’ Season One Main Titles
RMTV / Netflix
Directed by Heidi Berg

Drawing inspiration from the Golden Age of Tinseltown, these main titles lean heavily on classical cinema's nostalgia, scale, and drama. Director Heidi Berg tasked us with translating post-World War II's glitzy heyday into a 60 second sequence, complete with a chopped-down practical set-piece of the iconic Hollywood sign. Supervising a dynamic project including a mammoth 18-hour shoot day, my post-production team of three rallied to provide offline comps and key editorial support with a quick turnaround. The result tracks each formidable character's progression, adjusting lighting and lensing to reflect emotion and transmit the optimism and opportunity of Ryan Murphy's counterfactual universe.
