Packed to the rafters with VFX wizardry, this commercial hinged on meticulous preparation. Working with noted director John Hillcoat, we synced-up from the treatment stage to test and iterate thoroughly, ensuring his vision would be executed indubitably. My priority was grounding the effects in reality, relying on CG only when absolutely necessary and employing any in-camera and perspective tricks I had in my arsenal. In short, a lot of maths and lens conversions later, my mind was somewhat bent but the project was realized impeccably.
